Biotin VB₇, also known as vitamin H, is a water-soluble sulfur-containing vitamin and an essential coenzyme for fat and protein metabolism. It is widely found in liver, kidney, yeast and molasses.

As a cofactor of many enzymes in the body, it plays an important role in the metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids. It can improve feed utilization rate and daily gain, improve meat quality and carcass quality of pigs, improve breeding performance of female breeding stock, prevent and cure foot and foot disease and increase milk yield of dairy cows. Vitamin H can also maintain poultry skin and feather health, helping poultry to avoid suffering from fatty liver syndrome and improve egg production rate.
